In the year 1993, Govt. of Mizoram Health & Family Welfare Deptt constituted Registration Tribunal comprising of the following members to prepare the first Register of Pharmacist, Government of Mizoram, Deptt of Health & Family Welfare vide Notification No. 12012/4/92/HFW/LII Dt. the 5th November, 1992 as under–

President : Dr. Lalengi Khiangte, Director of Health Services
Vice President : H. Thankima, Drugs Inspector
Registrar-cum-Secretary : Lalsawma Pachuau, Drugs Inspector

The Registration Tribunal then issued a notice inviting application for registration among the Pharmacists resided/settled in Mizoram through various local newspapers fixing a period of 3 months duration. After the expiry of 3 months the Registration Tribunal examined all the applications received and scrutinized the enclosed documents to see the eligibility of the applicants and then compiled the first Register of Pharmacist and submit the same to Govt. of Mizoram, Health & Family Welfare Deptt for further necessary notification in the official gazette. The first register so notified contains 141 number of pharmacists.

Thereafter, Govt. of Mizoram, Health & Family Welfare Deptt constituted the State Pharmacy Council under Chapter 3, Section 19 of the Pharmacy Act, 1948 consisting of the following members–

Elected under Chapter 3, Section 19 (a)

Nominated under Chapter 3, Section 19 (b)

Elected under Chapter 3, Section 19 (c)

Elected under Chapter 3, Section 19 (c)
